Get a bigger, taller piece of driftwood for the middle so that the snake can climb up it and such. You have all that verticle space, you might as well use it, right?

yes, i know i should get a bigger piece of drift wood, but the pet shops around here usually dont have big pieces of drift wood. So im gonna go out into the woods and get a nice piece of wood. I will have to cook it in the oven first before i put it in the cage to get rid of all the stuff on it
I have vines along the top of my enclosure. My snake seems to like them. Once you get a bigger stick in there you may want to string vines or a cheaper altenative, like rope, around the top. You just have to make sure the top is on securely.
In all of my tanks I have a small plastic bush suction cupped in the back corner at ground level behind the water bowl. It makes a nice natural looking hide. Most all of my corns burrow in and hide there alot. My next door neighbor does landscaping. Last year he cut down some huge crepe myrtles, and brought me the branches. They make great logs for all my reptiles. They are smooth with no bark for critters to hide in. I put four in my six x six foot iguana cage and they worked out real well. Just make sure you prepare them properly before you use them. He also gave me a bunch of english ivy vines. I took pieces and suction cupped them to the backs and sides of some of my tanks. It makes a great place for them to climb. Sorry this is so long. good luck, Jim

Thanks for all the help.
Hat's off to you for caring enough about your snake to think out its enclosure.
Just keep an eye on those temps ... placing a cage in front of a window can be good in the winter, but in the summer (depending on your location) it can really heat up fast.
Great job!
