Hey just picked this little guy up... anyone know anything about MHDs? Just wondering how healthy does this guy look? It ate 5 crickets right away, i have a feeling the employees at petsmart weren't feeding it much. Oh Eve i love making those enclosures i posted, if you lived in NC i might consider making you one, lol. Later guys.

Very nice Mountain horned dragon. A little on the thin side, most are because they are wc, unless other wise stated.
Just continue to feed him/her. They LOVE NIGHTCRAWLERS, any earthworm.

And earthworms are full of calcuim, so feed away !! Mine loves superworms too, BUT... earthworms best !

This is my female Gorgo, in my pics in photo gallery theres one I just posted of her 2 weeks ago, her and 22 eggs she layed.

Just hit any of my collared pics and then click see other pics.

Good luck with your new little friend, I love her, but they are pretty inactive, LOL some days its like looking at a statue, hehehhe

to tell the truth i was planning on getting another collared, cause i love the little guys alot, but they were no where to be found here in charlotte NC. I saw this guy at petsmart, it was a little smaller than the others in the cage, so it appears to be a juvenile i guess, very small horns and Mowhawk. One question though, from the mt horn forum, someone told me to take it to a vet first thing to get a fecal test, how much does that kinda thing cost?? jus curious, thanks !!

Hi,
your guy has nice horns, most of their horns are broken off in the whole capture thing, so many wc's. Also they are kind of delicate lizards.

Meaning, they get sick fast and once sick, gotta get it quick, they dont hang in long. Not trying to bum ya , just the way it is. Hopefully the people breeding now can, get a stronger dragon soon.

They don't like being too hot, and they need to be misted atleast once a day. I keep her like my redeye tree frogs and emerald swifts, both from rain forests also.
high 70's and on the humid side.

As far as the fecal, I don't know maybe 20 bucks or under?
The people on the MHD forum are very good. When in doubt give FroggieB a shout, she has had alot of succuss and failure and just all around experience with breeding them.

Hey your in NC, I'm right above ya in NJ. now I know where to send my baby collareds this year , hehehhehheeh !!!
NC. is on our list of possible places to move.
