i was wondering if i can put any other kind of frog in with my red eye??? i am interested in other colorful frogs??? any suggestions???? i also have dumpy whites in another tank can u put anything in with them????

NO,sorry. You should never mix different species together. Red Eye Tree Frogs especially are very fragile frogs,and the slightest bit of stress can kill them. Each frog species has their own type of toxin. the frogs toxin can kill another species of frog because it is poisonous to them.even if it is not toxic to itself or you,another frog can become very ill if it shares the same water,same branches,same hiding spots,etc. same goes for the Whites tree frogs. anymore questions feel free to ask. everyone else will tell you the same thing. it is also not a good idea to mix any kinds of lizards or other reptiles in with these animals. you can always get more of the same species if you have a big enough tank though.
Agreed. A good species to look at with cross toxicity are some of the tree frogs (especially cubans...they even caused extreme pain when their toxins came into contact with my eyes) and some frogs such as the rio grande chirping frog introduced to some of the south-central/south-eastern US. When the chirping frogs are placed with other frogs, even toads, it can kill the other amphibian quite quickly. Parasites are another large concern as is stress from competition. Andy
