What great advice you answered every question he had. Oh and why not feed while in shed? I know they are not that likely to eat, however I did not know that food shouldn't even be offered. What is the reason for not even offering food? Oh please share your wisdom.

I did not get the begining of your post. But regurge is an issue that must be dealt with. How long have you had the snake? When was the last time it was fed? From my experience baytril has never caused a snake to regurge. They may not eat because they are being injected which is an unpleasent and stressful experience, and if they are on baytril they are already sick. I have only had one snake regurge on me. The snake regurged the first two meals I fed it, two weeks after the first meal was fed. What a mess. The rodents were still intact, and very smelly. I gave the snake metro right after the regurge and again the following day and then again 2 days later, also gave her panacur twice. I let the snake be for a week then began to feed it small meals. It started to eat again and I have never had an issue since. My guess on my snake is it was WC that had never been treated for internal parasites. Internal parasites can cause the regurge problems, and also the diarehea. Discuss it with your vet, if you could bring in a fecal sample that might be helpful.

nice story about a WC. While most encourage captive bred some of us take what seems to be a cheap way out. Sick animals are usually the result. Like in your case.
I do feel comfortable that you offered your storey of I don't understand you post but this is what happened to me and maybe you can talk to your vet about it. Bravo, so very helpful.
Quite honestly research before the fact is the best answer, otherwise it really is nothing more than animal cruelty.

Vt as you know people do not always tell the truth about CB or WC at shows. It was marked CB and eating frozen thawed. It ate frozen thawed. Did not think it was WC till the huge parasite/bacteria load showed up. It was moderately priced not cheap. And the snake was very clean looking not like a WC sub adult. And lord only knows what you get at a show, you know not everyone in the industry is on the up and up. So you should not just assume I went out and bought a WC adult and got this mess. Oh and I shared a story of a snake that i had that had a regurge problem (this guy has a similar problem), what the cause was, and what the treatment that worked was. Seemed like a reasonable story to tell. But again you just shoot your mouth off not answer the question and then make half baked statements without any information. Gee thanks buddy you are helping out a lot.

HELLO THERE, THANKS FOR WRITING. THIS IS THE DEAL, I’VE OWNED THE SNAKE FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND HE WAS DOING JUST FINE. HE ATE GOOD FOR THE FIRST 2 MONTHS. THEN HE STOPPED FOR 4 WEEKS AND STARTED BACK SKIPPING WEEKLY. I LAST FEED HIM DEC 27TH. ON JAN 6 HE WAS GOING INTO SHED. THE 7TH IS WHEN I SEEN HIM REGURGITATED(JUST HAIR). THE 8TH IS WHEN I FOUND SOME DIARRHEA AND SO THE AFTERNOON. WE STARTED TO TREAT HIM WITH BAYTRIL THAT NIGHT. SO WE TREATED HIM EVERYDAY TILL YESTERDAY. NOTHING IN THE CAGE HAS CAGED. THANKS

Think you are using the wrong meds. It is a GI tract problem. the solution is usually metronidazol and panacur. And to have a fecal exam done.

Good luck with your python!

From the symtoms I would have to say it's not a respiratory infection. It does sound like either internal parasites or some other gestromic problem as mentioned already. However, I would take it to a qualified reptile vet, specially one familiar with or specializing in snakes and get it properly diagnosed.

Baytril will dehydrate an animal and mess up all vital organs.
