Skink on the run!

I failed to latch my cage lid & came home to an empty BTS tank. We have looked low & low & have not found him. Any advice?

put food and water out for the skink, preferable his favorite. also get rid of cats asap!!! put them outside or something until you find indy, or else the worst case scenario could happen. and keep looking!! good luck!

I'm no professional on the topic...but usually turning down the houses temperature a few degrees and setting up a few nice hotspots with lamps or whatever works! Also set up some unmoving food that the lizard will eat right in the hotspot(my skinks go ape-[bleep] for boiled egg yolk).

When I lived at my mum's house one of my BTS escaped all the time (it took me a while to figure out how he actually escaped). Most of the time I found him in places like squashed between piles of sheets in the linen cupboared or in piles of magazines/newspapers or any places like that where he could squash himself in. One time I lost him and a week later I was sitting at my desk and I heard this noise in the small chest on my desk. When I opened it the lizard was in there. That was a big mystery because I have no idea how he got up on the desk or how he got in the chest and my brothers would never have put him in there...?!?! So don't worry, you'll probably find him in a strange place soon, just keep all the doors to outside closed.

Actually, mine got out just last week! We really panicked, as the room he is in for the Winter is a storage type room ... you know, lots of stuff! I also looked on the ground, but we actually found him straight across from his cage on a storage shelf! Who knows how he got there! These other posts look really helpful! Hope you find him soon!
