Marwan Jun 05, 2003 05:16 PM

my bro fed my ratsnake a bird and a rat yesterday,,,,small ones,,i was unaware of that(no lump) ,,and i handled him today and he seemed fine,,its 2:00 am right now so its night,,i heard a hissing kind of squishy sound,,i turned on the light,,i saw my snake sort of yawning and a poop and undigested food,,,,in the undigested food i saw the mouse,,and a claw,,,

question is how can i know if its a regurge or poop,,,

and nothing to worry about right,,cause i handled him,,which caused that

Well, the easy way to tell...
If he fed it the mouse first, then it's poo. If he fed it the mouse last, then it's a regurge.
If a regurge, it's probably a combo of the large meal and the handling. A pattern of regurging is a problem though. I had a snake just regurge because we fed him too much and then changed his water.
