I need help identifying a frog

seablazer Jan 14, 2004 02:54 PM

ok guys, I need help figuring out what frog I saw at the White Plains reptile expo this past weekend.

I will give you all the best description of it I can, all help will be MUCH appreciated!

I believe it was some sort of large leaf frog or was called a leaf frog due to its body shape. Its head had two spikes on the sides, body was gray/brown, kinda looked like a leaf in some ways.

I've searched many reptile sites for this frog and could not find it... I even just did a random search on leaf frogs and came up empty..

Can anyone help?

It seems to roughly fit the description of Megrophrys nasuta, common name Malayan horned frog, an incredibly aggresive frog in both nature and appearance. Hope that helps.
