Hi Guys

I was watching the programme Mamba on animal planet a very intresting programme. Some horror stories from some people but the thing is i have seen mamba's for sale on Kingsnake's classfied section. Are these animals defanged or are they as dangerous as their wild cousins? thanks.

Unless listed as a "Venomoid" they are every bit as potent and dangerous as their fellows-wild caught or otherwise.

To be honest, i don't know that i've seen any venomoid black mambas on KS classifieds...i've seen plenty of babies and even a few adults (Mr. Bigz Snakes has a 7 ft. male for sale right now), but all of these snakes are fully equipped with their venom apparatus...

With the exception of when Don Strydom was shown, I felt that AP's mamba show was long on shock value and short on good info.
IMO, a much better D.poly documentary is Snakebite, featuring Don and Mark O'Shea. Just my .02.
Sincerely,
