honduran/pueblan

I've been keeping herps (mostly lizards) for a while, and am looking at getting a honduran or a pueblan as my first snake... I've had good luck with the care research and all, and have an eye on two beautiful individuals (one of each sp.) that are $129 each... the honduran is almost 5 ft, the pueblan a bit under 4, both are very nicely marked and look very healthy ... but they're in a pet store (a reputable one) and I usually opt for shows because of the prices... is $129 a decent price or should I be holding out for better?

unles they are a certain more expensive morph, than thats WAY TOO much for either! Trust me, you will be pleased if you wait for a show.-Brett

Thanks ... that's exactly what I wanted to know. At previous shows, I've been paying attention mostly to lizards, so I just had no idea on prices for these... it just sounded like a lot.

They are not any special color morph ... just nice individuals. But as you advise, I'm waiting.

That sounds way to much! I bought a honduran baby at a reptile show for $80. He is way cool looking. If you don't mine a babie then you'll find all kinds at a show. I also picked a honduran over a pueblan. Pueblan's, at least the ones I tried to hold, were very squermy. My honduran is to but not as much. And with regular handling he is calming down. He is 7 months old now. Also, unless the petstore knows the history of an adult you really don't know what your getting in too as far a health wise. It's neat to watch a baby grow and shed. Hope you find your dream milk. :0)
