bromilliads and tree frogs

metawon Jan 14, 2004 05:33 PM

Does anyone else keep bromilliad flowers in their setup?
If you do, have you noticed any bizarre activity from the frog, for example "hugging" it and chirping or patrolling the flower and "puffing up" (filling with air to double size)? Mating season, perhaps? I noticed this only reecently with my RETF after introducing the plant, which I heard they use as a egg depository in the wild.

Any information appreciated.

Wow, weird stuff... but rather cool. I kept broms with my RETFs (although the broms died) and they didn't really exhibit any of those behaviors around them, but I guess that stinks for me. Are your RETFs WC or CB? Mine are CB and seem to prefer sticking onto glass or plastic than leaves or plants...
