Go to Home Depot and get a heavy duty timer they have the ground prong. You will definately need this for your flouresents to work properly.

you can actually get a timer with a 6 plug block on it. They are for outdoors. I like them a lot and have a few in my room.

Plug in the timer & plug a powerstrip into it,, that gives you 6 to 8 timed plugs.

Later.

Joel but look at the picture. This thing is just neat and tidy. I really do like them. 6 plugs no extra wires. I know that is key in some peoples rooms. I have 2 outlets in my rooms so I like to not have to use too many strips. :P

At my favorite herp supply store. Home depot. They are outdoor timers. Go look they may still have them from Xmas time. They have a stake to put them in the ground and a cover. I disregard both of these pieces and just use it as a timer. I really do like them, nice if you have a few tanks with a few lights each. And not very expensive all in all.
