My tokays are roughly 9" long and about 1-2 yrs old. Is it ok to feed them king meal worms or is the exoskeleton too hard to digest? If not king, maybe giant mealworms? I simply want to vary their diet.

To add variety to the diet, I think its OK.
Even though I am a bit uconfused about the english names.
Do you mean Superworms (Zophoba) or oversized anti ecdyson or otherwies ehormone treated mealworms?
Whehreas the first are a much better food than their reputation implies, I would be careful with the latter since the hormones fed to those worms may be active ligands for Nuclear receptors involved in Cholesterol homeostasis of lizards.

I am unsure of what type of food the "king" mealworms are fed. They look like the superworms that you described but I have no idea on how the latter looks like. A picture would be helpfull.
