Naming is a hard thing to do sometimes, and other times it's real easy. My gecko has a water drop patern down from his neck to the middle of his back, and then bands from the lower back to the tip of his tail, so I wanted to name him Ripple. But it didn't quite have that "zing" and it made him sound spazmastic and not mellow like he is, so he became Mr. Ripples.
When I was a kid I had another male gecko who'd make this "chuff" sound alot (sorta sounded like a "hmph", but with a ch-sound in the front... like "chmph"?). So I named him Chuffy.
My personal take on names is that it should more on personality rather than physical appearance, but if possible be well fitting in both areas and give character to your gecko (or any animal for that matter). You can also try other languages, Japanese seems pretty popular, Yuki = snow, Hana = flower, Sakura = cherry blossom, and you can add a -ko, and it'll be -child, i.e. Hanako = flower child, Yukiko = snow child.
