Waterproof paint

spyro Jan 15, 2004 08:00 AM

Hi, I went to the hardware store to get waterproof paint for my waterfall and stream that I have made in my waterdragon enclosure and they said oh yea marine paint, and I gave it like 3 coats let it sit 3 weeks and then ran the water threw it and it dissolved. ARGGGHH does anyone have any suggestions about what kind of paint and brand that I could use. I am so bad with stuff like this but I want to finish this cage someday in this century. Thanks Pamie and Drake

What is your waterfall made out of? What did you do to prepare the surface (sanding, priming, etc)? Could be you used the wrong type of paint OR that you prepared the surface incorrectly. Many paints require primer or sanding (or both) before they'll adhere correctly...
