They are similar in care and appearance to Peruvian Redtails.
They are usually collected in the amazon basin along the bordes of Peru and Ecuador.
These boas above have the potential to achieve lenghts of 12 - 14' but rarely do in captivity.
Caging, size in captivity and disposition are all relative to your conditions.
They are not as domesticated like many of the CBB true redtails being sold today, so may not be the best beginner snake.

The difference between Colombian bci and Peruvian redtails are numerous, including color, pattern, head shape, scale counts, body shape and more...

True redtails can not be fed like normal colombians and tend to grow a bit slower as well as being a bit more challenging to breed.

Hope that helped.
Joe

Does anyone have any pics of Peruvian Amazon Basin boas to post?
Thanks, Bill

Amazon Basin shipment. There is some controversy over where they originated. Ecuador is not supposed to ship etc. etc. but I think it would be safe to say that this is a very nice representative of that area be it Southern Ecuador or Northern Peru.
