Ive been using blended oatmeal for substrate.And also the same for wax worms.But sometimes i find some wax worms turn all black ?? and some seem to day is this the wrong thing to keep them in or what ??

My waxworms turn all black also. Are you keeping them refrigerated? sometimes that slows down the metamorphosis process of them turning into moths. I'm not quite positive, but I believe that the black is the cocoon stage, or maybe it's the "i'm dead" stage =) But refrigeration slows it down whatever it is.

Black is dead, throw them away asap. The cocoon stage looks more brown, and you can actually see the wings inside the cocoon. I also thinks it's best to refrigerate them, they will last longer.
