It was Wes something or other that posted them. I think he still posts in the other forums but I'm not sure. I too am wondering what happened. They were always interesting. Oh well...

It's our beloved:

Wes von Papineäu

I believe he is in the military, and searches articles to post them for our eyes. I doubt he's gone, perhaps just busy

HERALD TRIBUNE (Sarasota, Florida) 11 January 04 Do not feed or torment the infants (David Grimes)
'Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin has drawn the ire of PETA for holding his 1-month-old son close to the mouth of a 13-foot croc while feeding it a dead chicken.
Philbin Roachbait, spokesman for People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals, said at a press conference that Irwin demonstrated "gross negligence and insensitivity" when he brought the infant within such close range of the innocent reptile.
"What if the baby had sneezed on the crocodile and given it a cold?" Roachbait asked. "Crocodiles have no natural defenses against that sort of thing, you know."
After reviewing videotapes of the incident several dozen times, Roachbait said he is "80 percent sure" that the infant, named Bob, had a rattle clutched in his right hand.
"The baby could have flung the rattle at the crocodile and hit it in the eye," Roachbait said. "The entertainment industry has led us to believe that crocodiles are quite tough and ferocious but they're really very sensitive creatures that want to be treated with love and respect, just as we do."
Irwin, through a spokesman, said that the crocodile, named Murray, was never in danger at any time during the exhibition.
"I love crocodiles and would never put one in a situation where it could be killed or injured by an infant. I just can't understand why PETA is making such a big deal about this."
Irwin went on to say that baby Bob was not sneezing or coughing or showing any other sign of illness the morning of the exhibition.
"He was drooling a little, but that's normal for 1-month-old infants," said Irwin's wife, Terri.
Responding to Roachbait's charge that Bob's diaper could have become lodged in the crocodile's throat and choked it or, at the very least, caused it to gag, Irwin waved his hand dismissively.
"I had a firm grip on my little boy's behind," Irwin said. "He stayed perfectly dry up until the time the croc reared up on its hind legs and snapped the dead chicken out of my hand a couple of feet from Bob's face. But Terri always carries some moist towelettes in her purse, so she was able to clean him up real fast."
Asked how she thought the crocodile felt about all this, Terri replied: "I think it was a wonderful sensory experience for him. I could tell by the way his nostrils were flaring that he was really digging it."
Irwin says he has no regrets about allowing the crocodile to come so close to a possibly infectious, poop-smeared infant and would do it again with baby Bob just as soon as the infant's therapist gives the OK.
"He's a little clingy right now," said mother Terri as she attempted to pry the baby's arms from around her ankles. "We're going to let him go for a swim in the shark tank after his nap. That should cheer him up."
Roachbait concluded his press conference by suggesting to Irwin that, in the future, he feed his crocodiles broccoli or lightly steamed eggplant instead of dead chickens, but by that time no one was listening.
