those of you who remember my last few posts know what problems I have had with my two ball pythons. I just finished giving each ball one shot every other day and one shot every three days for a RI and for a skin desease from the substrate being too wet...(both of which the snakes had when I got them from the pet shop)...anyway I just got the two into a 40 Gal. Breeder tank and they seemed happy in it...but then I had some friends over and someone took the clips off of the cage... my Female tried to get out and go 9/10s of her body out, but the top would not let her get the last bit out and from the tank on her overnight she had two crushed in places on her and some of her intestine was coming out of her flap... I rushed her to a vet and by the time we got there the intestine had pulled back in. the vet gave her an x-ray and told me no bones were broken. she looks compleatly normal now and they told me to watch for her to eat and poop... well a few days ago she pooped... but she refuses to eat. should I just keep wasting mice on her, or is there something I can do to make them more appetizing... I was thinking about buying hampsters to try to feed but I am a college student and on a very tight budget so I could not keep feeding her hampsters. If I feed her a hampster would she go back to mice?
any help would be appreciated...
I cannot afford another vet bill anytime soon so if it comes to that I will have to give them to someone who can afford to keep them...

She may just be off fed for the winter. Check your temps and if they are right just keep plugging away.

the she may be a he. My female hasnt ever skipped a meal. its about 1600 grams full, and she climbed up to 1350 when empty.

So was it you that posted intially with a different screen name? If it was and that is the snakes weight then she may be off feed because it is winter and she is on the borderline of breeding size. I wouldn't sweet it just monitor the weight balls are finicky eaters at times.

this is the only screen name I have ever used... and I didnt think 140 grams was anywhere near breeding wieght...?

NO 140 grams is well below breeding weight. Give her a week and try to feed her the way you used to.

sounds like your snake is just stressed just leave it alone for a couple of weeks and stay with the mice/rats when you do try and feed it again best of luck. and by the way i ahde anb adult who did escape and get caught in a racliner same thing happened to her a couple of crush marks that went away after a couple of days and then she was all right.
