your walking down a path looking for the town of "truth"...you come to a fork in the road and there is a man standing there...one path leads to the town of "lie" where everyone lies all the time about everything...the other path leads to the town of "truth" where everyone tells the truth about everything all the time...the man at the fork is from one of these towns..you can ask this man one question on how to get to your destination...what is the one question you can ask that will get you to the town of "truth"?

Ask him where his hometown is? If he's from truth, he'll point there. From lies, he'll point to truth! Okay, my brain has turned to mush now. lol

Say "if you were from the town of truth, which way would your home be?" If he points to truth then he's telling the truth. if he points to lies then he's a lier.

Yes... but you don't know where the town of truth is. So how will you know if he's lieing or telling the truth? If he's from the town of lies and you ask him which direction is his home town, he will point to truth. If from truth, will point to truth. This question is a popular one for interviewers (for big job) to ask. Wow... I DID learn something in college! LOL
