African Clawed Frogs

Can anyone tell me what states African clawed frogs are legal/illegal in? especially in south east and mid atlantic states? thanks.

Clawed frogs are illegal in California, Arizona, and a few other states with invasive animal policies. They are legal in most states, though, and are common in the aquarium trade.
They are known to have become established in California and Arizona (bringing on the laws). Studies have shown that the frogs really aren't much of a threat to native frog larvae or fishes (which was the main concern), but there is still some concern. There was an article noting that the populations were declining, but I don't know the current status of the introduced populations.

this also includes the subgenus Silurana ( Grow A frogs "California frogs" are illegal in these staes too!

California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, Louisianna, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico and Hawaii.
