NEED HELP FOR DWARF CAIMEN!

I just got rid of my turtles and dont want my outdoor pond to go to waste. So im think im gonna get a dwarf caimen, but during the winter here in florida it gets to like 28 degrees some nights. I was wondering if the caimen will hibernate. I did think it would because they are tropical to sub tropical. If not i would like to know how to heat the water and the land near the pond. Thanks for any help.

it would probably be a lot easier just to go with an alligator
