Im getting a reptarium tomorow for my male tamatave, he is almost 5 months, and growing like a weed, starting to show aome nice reds/greens . I was going to purchase the 175 gallon reptarium. Will this be adequate for him when he is full grown? I have my female in a 40x24x24 screen cage, the reptarium is a little bigger.I am getting the reptarium do to the lower cost, and i dont wanna see him lose his nails like she did in the screen cage. Thanks, Dave

With lots of plants that should be more than adequate, your little tamatave should be very happy.

The 100 or 175 gallon is fine for your male.
Just put alot of vines so he is less likely to climb the screen.
He can loose nails in the mesh as your female did in an all screen cage.
Make sure to contain crix or they will chew through the mesh (they can and will).
I used them for awhile (reptariums) and had no problem except chewing. I had a way to work zipper whith out the head aches most experienced. Found it fun to build my own and costs less.
Have Fun..
