Both are excellent sources.
www.turtlestuff.com and www.turtlecafe.com both sell prickly pear, but depending on where you live, if you keep your eye out, you might be able to find some growing wild somewhere. I get mine from a scrubby part of a local park next to where my son went to preschool. Some grocery stores carry it, too, but for the most part it's not the nice plump pads that my tortoises like.

The better grocery stores(Zehrs and Sobeys) carry it off and on here in ontario. Its sometimes sold as cactus pear.

if there's an area near where you live with a larger hispanic/latino population, try looking in grocery stores there. i think lots of independent mexican grocery stores carry it, and even this one super wal-mart i know of stocks it.
