Hey,
Just for fun, "What's your favorite kind of rattlesnake?"
For me, I'm new to rattlesnakes, but I've taken a liking towards the red diamond rattlers.
The aruba rattlesnakes are gorgeous!

Oh wow, I dont know how I could actually say I like one more than the other
I guess I will go for Crotalus cerastes because they are just cool, with the horns and everything
I love working with Helleri too! They are eather a [bleep] and a half or easy going.
I'm a big fan of the infamous Mojave too! Neurotoxic yay ;p
I very much like C. ruber and C. scutulatus, however, my favorite has to be Crotalus durissus cumanensis (Venezuelan Rattlesnake).
Cheers,
Derek K.
I second the Aruba.. but I think atrox is O so pretty with dusky pigs coming in a close second
There are some neotropical rattlers (durissus) that come in a close second. I'm also very fond of the little lepidus mottled/banded rock rattlers. Then there are those... Aw hell(eri) - I like 'em all!
Cheers,
WK
Love the way you provide them with a hidebox, and they use it as a perch with which to survey their surrounding. They never seem to want to use the "inside". Just want to sit on top and watch everything!
I love all crotalus, and all snakes for that matter, but I would have to say my top five rattlers are:
1. The Arizona Ridgenose Rattlesnake (Crotalus willardi willardi)
2. Rock Rattlers (Crotalus lepidus sp.)
3. ATROX!!!!!!!!
4. The tropicals (durissus sp.) are very attractive
5. Mojave Rattler (C. scuttalus)
Also, the Arizona black rattler (C. viridis cereberus) is a fav.
[bleep] it, pretty much all of them i guess...
.
I have to go with C. cerastes. I've had mine since it was born and he is a very "artistic" snake (nice sand designs). After that the pink phase of C.l.lepidus.

For me, nothing beats a large Eastern Diamondback, (Crotalus adamanteus)
Being born/raised in Florida and seeing Ross Allen many times,
I am a bit prejudiced!
wink
crotalus helleri. southern pacificmy faverate snake period i have em ehere i live to.

Hey! thats a nice looking snake I like the pattern!

My favorite rattler is definitely Huachuca Mt. Yellow Blacktail Rattlers. Generally laid-back and absolutely stunning. But I also love the Crotalus durissus tzabcan. The Cinninnati Zoo has an absolutely gorgeous group of tzabcans on display. It was love at first sight. Of course honorable mention must be given to C. horridus and C. polystictus.

with timbers and Central American durissus(durissus, tzabcan and culminatus) running a close second and third.
eastern diamondbacks and timbers are a close second.

"No one likes us, we don't care"
My favorite's always been the EDB, since they are here, (& extremely impressive) but I was definitely impressed by a pair of Mexican West Coasts (basiliscus) green phase that I had reach seven feet in a couple of years.

Here Is mine and Anja's favorite rattler. Albino Eastern Diamonback(Crotalus adamanteus).
