Stupid question, UV light

is uv light required for smphibians? you'd think it would burn the skiin...

The general consensus is that darts do not require UV light. They live on the floor of the rainforest, where little (if any) sunlight penetrates. So they can manufacture their own vitamin D.

im using a UV light, which i share between two glass tanks. i got mine about a mth ago, and as i didint know wether they needed it or not i got one to be 'safe' will use a cheaper non uv bulb next time though.
