Why do snakes/ reptiles need water anyways? is it just for shedding... because i swear i've never seen them drink.

Trust me, they drink alot. They can also go long periods without drinking but all mine drink lots of water when it's available.

They drink it!!! I've seen mine drink all the time. Some will only drink at night. Do you watch them 24/7??

They probably drink when you are not looking. Trust me - they drink. They also get water from their food. Snakes are just very good at conserving water (due to scales) that they don't drink as much as other animals & people. But water is still important. They lose water mainly through breathing.
