PLEASE HELP!!! FBT wounded!

stimpy_the_toad Jan 16, 2004 12:14 AM

Last febuary I got my firebelly toad. He's pretty active and does alot of jumping, and swimming in his ten gallon aquarium. I recently went home for christmas vacation and took him with me... I transport him in a lunch box size plastic aquarium. Because of the small size, he attempts to scale the sides. when I brought him back he must have had a bad fall or something. It seems like his back legs are broken. He does not jump or swim. When he does move he just drags his legs behind him. His hind legs are limp and bend like the probably shouldn't. I don't know what to do!! I called the pet store and they gave me NO advice. Is there anything i can do? will he be ok? is he in pain? PLEASE HELP STIMPY!!

I'm thinking he's in pain. A vet's visit is in order, especially since you're not sure what's happened. Pet stores are not experts but vets are. Try to find a good herp vet if at all possible.
