I am seriously considering getting a dwarf tegu to fill an empty cage I have. This species was suggested to me on the general lizard forum, but I couldn't find any more acurate info out there on what cage size they need. The cage I have is a glass aqarium with sliding screen top and is a 40 gallon breeder (36x18x16 inches). Would one dwarf be happy in this cage? Also, does anyone know if you can feed these smaller tegus f/t rodents in addition to the mealies and other bugs that are it's staple?
