Is it a bad idea to house a trio of breeding nose be in a large community cage? WHat do you do to cycle chameleons?
Most chameleons are housed in single cages. Panthers need their own space or they will/can stress each other out. If you have a very large cage with abundant flora you may get away with it or you may have very stressed chameleons who may not eat or drink due to being dominated. It's your choice in the end how you house them.
Chameleons don't need to be cycled like snakes. They will breed year round when they are introduced to females. Males generally are always ready. Females will determine when they are ready.
I generally introduce them around 9 months others wait til female is around a year old.
Good Luck..
