ok plz help with this one very important

alright i have to buy a new snake light the one i had before was really good but it burnt out and the pet store i go to has to order on, what can i do in the meen time to that would add extra heat i'm using another light that doesn't give that much plz help

A good undertank heater should raise the surface temp of you substrate over 90F, not the air temp but the surface temp. That is all you need. You usually need to use a thermostat with UTH to keep the surface temp from gettting to hot.

I find a 40-watt light bulb to be sufficient, and not so bright as to cause concern about vision impairment. I don't even bother with expensive special-purpose bulbs for my 5 breeder tanks.

any household bulb would do, don't waste money on those basking bulbs at the petstore. I find they burn out faster than a basic bulb you buy for a regular lamp. REgular household bulbs put out the same amount of heat as well.

I always have a UTH i dont always have a hot light but i always have the UTH on in the hot side Smo'ore has been happy with it
