can you use childrens sand pit sand for the bottom of a sneider skinks tank

Rinse it well to get rid of fine dust particles, and feed in a separate enclosure or from a shallow bowl so sand doesn't get ingested along with the food.

I know a lot of people would say DO NOT use calci sand ... they claim it's safely digestible, but there's no real research to back that up ... check out the setups on this site ... aino tuomola is one of the few people i've heard of successfully breeding schneiders in captivity. Her setup uses washed play sand with divider and plain newspaper in the feeding area to avoid getting sand tracked into the feeding dishes.
