We've ruled out if being the crickets or supers, had two checked today

for Trichnomas. We had the water dragon tested today and she is clear, also one of the adults that is awake is clear, both are big insect eaters and the water dragon only eats crickets and worms. So I think we are fairly safe the brumating guys are clear too.

Monday we are getting the water here tested by an independent lab. We are on a county water system, but I still want to make sure it is not there.

I think the dragons all know I am waiting for them to poo as they normally go daily and most seem to be holding it watching me watch them.... little stinkers!

I still think the prime source is the greens, but it could have been anything from the greens rinsed or watered in the stores, the grower's land or our water several days ago when the city had a contamination. Although we are not in the city, the veggies and greens did come from inside the city limits.

I talked to the argirculture department in our county and to the enviromental people for the county, they referred me to a private lab for the water testing as the city problem could have flowed into the county water, but said they test regularly for that

I want to rule out re-introducing it to them anyway.

As always you offer a wealth of knowledge. I have yet to read something you've written and not learn something new! Thanks for doing such extensive research!

Have a great weekend!

Beautiful Dragons

panic or others say you should not tell others you have a problem... I don't agree with that, I think it shows these things can and do happen to anyone, even if you think you have good husbandry in practice, I am not perfect, I am still learning too.

The thing is to get it out in the open and deal with it or find out what caused it and go from there. Working with it that way may help others trace a potential problem and avoid it in theirs.

If others think that makes us bad breeders, or people will think that and be hesitant to buy dragons from us, I can't help that. Bacteria and parasites happen to dragons with what you think is good care too. Believe me, no dragon leaves my home unless I feel absolutely sure it is in prime condition and will be stable in a new home. In the end its them that matters the most to me, not sales or the dollars... besides.. hehe, gives me a reason to keep them longer
