Well...I just figured that the ol' heating cable (for unfreezing pipes) will not work as almost all models have built in thermostats that turn on at 45 degrees which will not work at all. And unfortunetly, heat tape...I suppose because of past accidents has been banned in Canada.
So, my next best thought to heat a rack is to buy some inexpensive heat therapy pads (the ones from a drug store that people use for sore muscles...plug in the wall...usually with three settings of dry heat)
I figure they run at about 18 bucks canadian (12 american) and I can heat probably two tupperware tubs with one...as the tubs will be side by side...of course this means for my rack of 12 tubs, I'll have to invest in at least 6 of them.
Has anyone tried using these for reptiles and if so, how are they for being run everyday for up to 12 hours a day?
Other heating suggestions would be appreciated....
Thanks.
