fire bellies are pretty delicate, but i had a cali. newt which lived for a very long time.

Chinese (aka Oriental) firebellies are delicate,
Japanese firebellies are actually pretty hardy.

Make sure that what you get is really a Japanese firebelly, as pet stores often mislabel them.

I love my tiger sal. He is very tame, active, fun to watch. I think they are pretty easy to care for relative to some other varieties.

red backed slamander great and easy to take care og and there always on land so you dont need a half and half or aqiuctic just land
