IF I WERE TO: use heat tape or cable without a rheostat in a snake rack...would it burn the wood or plastic tubs???...n/p

I have one rack that has 4" flexwatt running up the back without a thermostat controling it, and have not had any issues with it (it has run like this for coming up on 2 years now)

Always use a controller. Why risk harm to your animals? Even if the wood doesn't burn, it can be way too hot for an animal. Dimmers are cheap.
