anole not eating

hjk Jan 16, 2004 03:43 PM

I have two anoles. I bought them at different times and from different stores. One is eating and looks great. The other has seemed to stop eating. It's really skinny now. How can I get it to eat? thanks.

I found one that was starving to death and I finally got it to start eating by cutting a tiny piece of wax worm and putting it up against her mouth with a tweezer. It wasn't instant either. It took a couple of days of doing this every once in a while but it slowly started to taste it and finally, reluctantly ate it. Now if I do the same thing (once in a while that is) she runs across the whole tank to get it. Keep in mind though, the one I found was starving but otherwise healthy.
