ive got a pair of arizona mountain kings and they are 02 . my question is. should i let them hang out together for a few hours watching them every now and then until they are old enough to breed ?will they get to know each other befor breeding ? i though it may be interesting to see them together , then again they may take no interest in each other ? i dont know . just curious what others think .

The most interesting thing you might see is one of them eating the other.

LOL! Sounds funny but that is the absolute truth. I have had young kingsnakes try to eat each other (healthy, happy, and well fed ones at that) when being held by 2 different people over a foot away from each other. And they were siblings. I have managed to put kings together once or twice other than for breeding purposes to snap a picture or 2 but that's as far as I've ever pushed it.
Not a good idea, and IMHO I think it would be best to keep a breeding pair totally separate other than to do the deed, that way they will (hopefully) most likely show the most interest in each other whn it's time. GL with them!
