Rep cal pellets

steve1488 Jan 16, 2004 04:38 PM

I just got some rep cal juvenile pellets,I was wondering how long do you let them soak for? Do I still need to use rep cal w/d3 & the vitamin supplemnt? When should I switch to the adult pellets? My bearded dragon is about 18 inches now. Thanks Steve

I usually soak them for a minute or two. You still need to use supplements. I'm not totally sure on when to switch to the adult pellets. I asked the same question a couple of days ago and didn't really get an answer to my question. My dragons are about the same size as yours and I will try the adult ones when I run out of the juvi pellets.

I soak the pellets from 12-20 min for all my dragons. The adults and little ones all eat the juvenile RepCal pellets. They are easier to pick up when wet and the dragons do not seam to care about the size.

The pellets *should* contain all the vitamins that are needed for the dragons to live on. I still dust my greens and pellets everyday with calcium W/D3 and also Herpa-vitamins every Sunday instead of the other.

Good luck,
Steve

An 18" dragon can easily handle the adult rep-cal pellets.. an average size adult is probably 17".
