Lazy Turtle becoming master "hunter"

Anddawede Jan 16, 2004 08:22 PM

Recently I've been getting in the habit of catching fish in the tank and feeding them to my turtle. I have to say, it's really perked up his hunting instincts. Now, whenever I put the fish net in the tank to catch a fish my turtle s up and starts looking around the tank and stalking fish. He really appreciates what I manage to catch and give him, but he's REALLY been enjoying the "hunt" himself. It's extremely cute. Just wanted to share

Hehe...That's cute. I have a funny little male turtle who
seems to have no hunting instincts whatsoever. He never tries
to bite fish; he only tries to "ride" them. The bottom-feeder
fish that I have often go on his shell and clean the algae from
it.
