I just got a 50 Watt Reptisun light and I was wondering if it was enough for two 5 inch RES. I have a night reptile light in right now that was given to me. Is this better than the 50 Watt?
Any help is very appreciated.
Thanks

I'm sorry, I am a little confused about your question.
Is the Reptisun light a Reptisun 5.0? You should have
a UVB souce such as this and also a regular lightbulb at
one end of the enclosure for heat. The Reptisun should be
a long fluoresent tube. All lights should be off at night
for a proper photoperiod. You can use either a red bulb of
proper wattage at night or a ceramic heater (produces heat
but no light) if the room gets cold. Make sure you test
the basking area under the lightbulb to see if the temp
is about 85 degrees. The rest of the enclosure should be
left at room temp as you do not want to cook them.
I hope this answers your question
Linda
