Whats the best way to thaw out frozen mice? Room temp? warm water? or other?
You want them to thaw out pretty fast and evenly, and not just laying around. Hope this helps.-Brett
I boil water in a kettle, put the f/t mice in a ziplock, then pour the boiling water into a bowl, put the mice in the bowl. If they float I put another smaller bowl on top to get them to submerge a little... Works great. Thawed in like 10 mins, maybe less. That's for adult mice. Not the best smell though.

I would recommend NOT using boiling water, but use hot tap water. You can end up cooking the outside of the mouse and this can cause the snake to regurgitate the meal. I use hot tap water with my adult mice and it only takes a few minutes. I place them in little plastic bags too.

I thaw mine out the night before by putting them in the refrig then in the morning I set them out on the counter untill they warm up. I haven't had any problems doing it this way.
My wife takes care of most of the feeding. We feed once a week at my house. She uses the hot water in a bowl trick. This is gonna sound pretty weird, my wife thinks I'm a nut. When I'm feeding my little ones pinkies mid week I just put the pinks in a baggie and place them under my leg and sit on them a few minutes while I'm watching TV. Its kind of cold as first but thaws them to the perfect temp in a matter of minutes. My wife probably wont be able to show her face in public for a while but it works for me.
