Hey Everyone,
From what I've seen and read the timors and ackies are the smaller monitors available.
Of the the two, which do you prefer?
I'm a fan of the blue spotted timors...

I had until recently (gave him to a friend to make space) a large male timor "squirt", hes to this day 29.5 inches and improved attitude after over 3.5 years in captivity, although he runs when the cage is opened. Timors spend 3/4 of their life hiding or they are out when noone is around, they bolt for cover and can bite about 10 times worse than you would ever expect them to.
My male ackie is a ham and a social creature that is afraid of nothing, he approaches you climbs and explores you non stop and is so friendly as well enjoys human interaction, hes just under a year and a half old. Like a squirrel doesnt sit still for more than a few seconds.
I like the look of the Timors, which is why I have one. And I've heard tales of tame ones. I've only made bits and pieces of progress with mine, though. If you get a Timor, I'd get a CB or at least a baby, there are plenty out there.

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."
