MilksnakePhaseXMotley Corn

kshouse Jan 16, 2004 09:36 PM

Hi to all,

Does anyone still keep the MilksnakePhaseXMotley (MilkMot)Corn morph? You don't hear about it much anymore. My male escaped late last summer, and is probably half way home to South Georgia by now.

Beautiful morph- I hate to see it "disappear".

What is that corn ON? Looks like cedar or pine? Just curious.

My corns are on pine.

I never worked with them before, but got several from a project that originally came from Rich. One is motley, several others are het. I hope to breed a couple of them this year. Should be fun and different from what I have done before.

That is interesting Kathy I just got some of the same blood lines also, Let me know how yours do and I will do the same. These were the basis along with some miami phase aniamls that we were able to produce the Copperhead corns we had before the accident.

Take Care,

I have some too! I absolutely love this morph, one of my favorites! I too would hate to see it disappear.

I have 0.2 Milksnake Phase Motley (actual motleys) and 2.1 Milksnake Phase het Motley adults almost all of them have been proven het amel as well. I got some really great things from them this year and will have all three adult females on line for this coming season. In 2002 I got some killer Orange Candy Canes het Motley from one of my Milk Mot females. I hope to produce Orange Candy Cane Motleys (fingers crossed) this year thanks to that great line. I know Clint Boyer also has some Milk Mots (thats what we call 'em for short). They won't be disappearing in my collection any time soon.

I am not sure if this one is motley or not, she has a few belly "smudges". I got a few other really weird, yet really cool hatchlings from 2003. I kept back a few. These are just pictures that I already happened to have already uploaded. Email me if you want to see more... jeramandcarol@yahoo.com

Hi again,

Thanks to all for the great info, and thanks to Carol for the excellent photos of her fantastic MilkMots. I'm posting a pic of the male that escaped. Somehow, I hope to find a male to breed to my female, as I really like this morph. I was able to hold back 1.2 from last spring's clutch.
