Chameleons in Movies

thechamhunter Jan 17, 2004 04:01 AM

I just saw Along Came Polly tonight. It was alright. There is a scene with a chameleon in the movie. I was wondering if there are any other cameos by chameleons in any other movies? I know of a scene in The Time Machine a couple years ago when Guy Ritchie wakes up on that cliff city and theres a panther chameleon right there. I also just wanted to add that to all that are freezing there butts off, it was 86 here on tuesday. They should have the Super Bowl here every year. Last year it was 83 degrees Super Bowl Sunday if you all remember, and out at my work it was close to 90. John Madden said it himself, San Diego should host the Super Bowl every year.

There has been a couple chameleons on Treehouse, the Canadain equivelent to nicklodeon. On Dora the Explorer they showed a nosey be panther, but they just called it a lizard. And this other show Pet Squad, they asked the question why lizards are different colors. So they went to this really awesome pet store to 'investigate'. Anyway, they showed a veiled (house properly - more properly then most at home) and said they are green to blend into their surroundings in the trees, and they change color to let you know how they are feeling. Then they showed a water dragon and said they are brown to blend into the sand. It was really cool.
Oh, and there is one in Dr. Dolittle 2. He says his blender is broke!

I dont know about movies but a friend just borrowed my veiled for a Viacom commercial, not sure where its going to be aired though. I know he used a panther in an episode of Charmed awhile back, pretty sure it was a Nosy be. They had it eat a cricket on camera and were later fined for cruelty to animals by the Humane society for the loss of the poor crickets life lol. They disputed it and the fine was dropped.

I loved the one in Dr. Doolittle, he was cute. Wasnt there one in Harry Potter 2? (chamber of secrets) When they were in the classroom asking about the secret chamber Herminone had a male veiled in front of her Ithink. Just my input ^_^

I dont know really any movies besides dr. doolittle. But at Disney's California Adventure theme park. the attraction "It's tough to be a bug" has a Chameleon in it. It's like a show. and it's 3d. You get zapped by a Rudis i think lol.

There is a chameleon (jackson) in the Vin Diesel movie "XXX"
Vin is sitting in the jungle - next to a fire - and he watches the chameleon walking up a branch.

Personally... I loved the flapneck (c. dilepsis) in Dr. Doolittle - although the spanish accent was a bit of a stretch. It was highly entertaining - and the character had buckets of personality. Painting the room green for the chameleon (in the end) was great!
