Red Tegu or Desert/Argus Monitor? Help Me!

they are actually both similar in care except that red tegus have a high fruit intake and argus don't, i would think that would make argus cheaper to take care of if that is an issue.

tegus lose tails, argus don't. both are probably on the same temper scale except argus seem to be more active and have more "personality."

I've never had a tegu, but I've known people who have and they can tripod. I think it's mostly the colombians and blues, but I believe someone I know told me his argentine black/whites did it too.
