Feeding

fosplu Jan 17, 2004 11:59 AM

I got my crested gecko about 5 days ago and since then he has ate about 6 or 7 crickets and two helpings of baby food, but the last time i tried to feed him crickets he didnt eat them. I dont know if he doesnt see them or if hes just not hungry, does it help if you feed them at night instead of during the day?

Feeding at night helps a lot but make sure that you have a small amount of light for it to see by. Also make sure you are not over feeding your gecko, it's probably just not hungry. The fact that it is eating at all is a very good sign. My gecko eats 3-4 crickets one day then 1 the next. Check that the crickets are the right size for your gecko, the lengh of the crickets should be equal to the disance between it's eyes.
