I have read conflicting info that females will fight to death.. But others have told me this is not true and none of them have ever fought

Please I need to know before I set this tank up

they dont really fight to the death. They tend to pin one another and if they get pinned in a pool of water then they could die. If they do die it would typically be from stress that the other tinc would cause. I have 4 tincs in my 38 gallon. They are still froglets. If i notice any signs of aggression like that later on though I would have to remove a couple of them but i dont even know what my male-female ratio is either.

As for a 55 gallon, Id say you could easilly have 3 in there. I think 4 might be one to many for mine, depending on what gender the frogs turn out to be, but i have notice nothing bad yet.

You could go with something other than tincs... Say leucs, that are good in numbers.

Could go for a smaller tank, or get a few tincs and them split them up if you have problems. When they are young they will be fine I hear. Could also try to get 2males and a female, or even 3 males and a female.

With a 55 gallon tank, I would think there would plenty enough space for 2 females. But that will vary from each frog, id say itd be enough space, but if they started fighting you can alwsy remove one.

Thanks guys, I may get more than one male. Seems like males would fight though At least that is the way with my geckos

From what I have read the males do not fight, at least like the females.
