Is it EVER normal for a cham to sleep during the day?

I have moved Zoe into his new cage, as you all know.
The level of light is NOT equally distributed throughout the cage...his basking area is obviously quite bright...he sits up there for a while, getting warm...it's running between 85 & 95 degrees. Then he will travel around to other areas, I suppose to cool down...or maybe just for a different view...but ANYWAY...I've noticed he goes to this one shelf in his cage, it's very secluded, and dark, under his schefflera.
I've caught him snoozing under there a couple times over the last few days.
Is this simply because it's dark and cool, and is what would normally trigger his sleep cycle, or should I be concerned about this behaviour?

Thanks everyone!

I think you are right...the dark cool spot triggers a nap. Hard to say if he is choosing to sleep, or just reacting to the place. But, if a cham roams into a dark cool spot the brain cools with the body and they don't really think to move on again. If this is a spot he ends up in a lot and he is spending too much time asleep maybe you should put a small lamp near the spot to lighten it up a little. Chams are very much like birds. They do not sleep well if there is any light stimulating the brain.
