breeding superworms for leos

bigdee Jan 17, 2004 03:37 PM

how many bins do I need to breed superworms because I hear you have to switch them to another bin every 10-14 days. If the beetles live for months sounds like you would have to have alot of bins or do you bring them back the the first bin and start again. I dont know if its the eggs you have to worry about the beetles eating or the eggs and the babies. Also what is the best substrate oatmeal or peatmoss?

dude superworms are a booger to breed. you have to let the worm pupate... generally people who breed them put them inside some dorta dark container by themselves to pupate. i have seen the allien pupea (yuck) and the beetles (gross) but i have never attempted to breed them... those things just give me the heebee geebee's ... just getting them to pupate i would prolly pull my hair out
