Stressed By Colour?

devious_froggy Jan 17, 2004 07:16 PM

ok, so ive ditched the sand as substrate idea! but while i was out picking up some cheap broms. for my white's vivarium, i saw home depot had this AWSOME bright blue astro turf :D and at the dollar store they had giant blue silk dasies, so i was thinking "electric-blue-retro-lizard-redecoration" but i was just wonderng if you think they would be stressed by not having lots of green? of course i would have some leaves but it would be mostly BLUE? so good idea? or wold it be stressfull? can they even see in colour? I'd love some opinions on this! if this idea fails to be great, im going to go "au natural" with stone tiles and river rocks!

i don't think the color would bother the gecko... and a bright blue tank does sound really cool... hehe i actually don't think (but i'm not sure) that reptiles are able to see all colors. so give it a try, see how it goes.
